Owner
Edgar Davison is the owner of Davison Law Firm and General Counsel for Baxter Bailey & Associates, with a practice focused on transportation and commercial litigation. He represents motor carriers, freight brokers, logistics companies, and other transportation-industry clients in matters involving freight-charge recovery, broker defaults and bankruptcies, shipper and consignee liability, transportation contracts, and related commercial disputes.
Edgar earned his B.S. in Human Resources from the University of Tennessee in 2002 and his J.D. from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2005. He is admitted to practice in Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi, as well as before applicable federal courts.
Earlier in his career, Edgar practiced employment law and civil litigation before developing a concentration in freight-charge litigation and transportation law. That background provides a broad litigation foundation for advising clients on complex transportation disputes, contract issues, and payment responsibility.
In addition to his private practice, Edgar serves as General Counsel for Baxter Bailey & Associates, where he works with transportation and logistics companies nationwide on freight-payment disputes and commercial litigation. His experience includes appellate matters, broker bankruptcy issues, consignee liability, shipper payment responsibility, and other disputes affecting carriers and transportation businesses.
Beyond the courtroom, Edgar remains active in the legal and transportation communities through professional organizations, publications, and industry-focused legal work. His approach is centered on practical legal strategy, clear guidance, and protecting the business interests of transportation-industry clients.
